Why Social Co-op?
In the U.S. only about 18 out of 100 people with disabilities were employed in 2020. People with disabilities might have one or two challenges, but they are highly capable and can bring so many different abilities to your organization.
CoSpire Members
The Social Co-op members launched their own business brand called CoSpire in February 2022. CoSpire members are provided with work-readiness, self-advocacy training and internship opportunities.
Work with Us!
CoSpire is seeking business partners! Our members are highly motivated and have the skills to work at the local businesses in Queens, NYC. Currently, our members are ready to work on an internship basis in clothing shops and office environments.
Innovate
Unlike any other traditional model of “helping” adults with disabilities, we take an innovative approach of social cooperative. This approach empowers the members, engages community partners, and ultimately benefits everyone in the community.
Incubate
Our members are talented in many ways, and they bring lots of great ideas. All they need is some guidance and a place to brainstorm and test their ideas. From selling homemade soaps to award winning art pieces, if they can dream it, they can do it.
Include
Companies are always looking for reliable workforce and talented workers, but they often don’t know how to hire and retain people of all abilities. CoSpire members are here to help! Let us show you how amazing it is to work with people of all abilities!
